ETU Playground – 10, 11 & 12 October 2025

A Performance in a New Format

ETU is announcing a new type of performance for theatre enthusiasts to sink their teeth into! Written, directed and performed by our theatre community.

ETU Playground is a performance that consists of a set of shorter plays, created by different subgroups united under the theme: ‘Dream’. The performances are mini plays or separate scenes, either original or from existing work. These mini plays allow the creators to try out new materials and take on a more experimental role than our regular performances. Playground is where discoveries are made.

The ETU Playground performances will take place on 10, 11 and 12 October in Utrecht.

Like a troupe of ghastly ghouls freshly sprung from their graves, ETU Improv resurrects after a year of dormancy with a new Halloween show!

Guards! Guards!

Every guard strives to bring law and order. However, the Night Watch of Ankh Morpork have been relegated to turning a blind eye to The Thievings Guild, who have been permitted a quota of legal crimes by the corrupt patrician.

Is there hope for the city? One of the city’s many cults has the answer: summon a dragon! After all, if there’s a dragon, there's a king just around the corner to slay it; all the best prophecies say so! And if you can control a dragon, you can control whatever schmuck you can find to slay it.
