Death on the Nile

A thrilling and humorous mystery

Audiences stepped into a world of intrigue, suspense and comedy with ETU’s production of Death on the Nile. Renowned detective Hercule Poirot, initially seeking a peaceful retirement cruise on the river Nile, is thrust into a riveting murder mystery crafted by the devious mind of writer Agatha Christie, who actually gets to play the role of narrator in the play.

The story takes an unexpected turn when socialite Linnet Ridgeway implores Poirot to intervene in her tumultuous relationship with ex-best-friend Jackie during her honeymoon. However, tranquility is shattered as a tragic death unveils a web of secrets among the passengers on the boat.

Poirot, alongside Colonel Race, delves into the eccentric lives of characters like the ancient Ms. van Schuyler and her nurse, the infamous adult novel author Mrs. Otterbourne and her surly daughter Rosalie, the seductive steward Fleetwood, and others. Suspicions run high as the detective scrutinizes each passenger, with dark truths lurking beneath their lies.
